"Deforestation" consists of red felt covering stumps and fallen trees in a clear-cut area in western Idaho.
"Creekbed" showcases the ebb and flow of the water with the addition of dyed felt; how the sunlight, water, and stones interact with the movement of the felt.
"Wheat fields" displays the vastness of my home; endless farmland, hills, and sky.
"Wheat fields" also brings forth this notion of how the farming industry effects the natural environment; splitting apart what may have grown and prospered in the area to a singular species of plant for miles upon miles.
"Logging Road" shows the scars the lumber trucks left behind. By placing red felt inside of 100+ feet of a tire rut in the dirt road, it mimics the wounds left behind from the clear-cut logging industry.
